LAHORE, May 26: The People’s Labour Bureau on Monday set up a hunger strike camp at Charing Cross against the LFO.
Leaders of the PML-N and the MMA visited the camp to express solidarity with the PLB.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said at the camp time had come to take a final decision on whether the power would rest with the political leadership or the army.
He said it was a mere allegation that political leaders had been inviting the army to intervene. A decisive war would be fought for the return to the democratic rule, he said.
Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Qasim Zia said the struggle against the LFO would continue in the parliament and outside.
PLB chief Abdul Qadir Shaheen criticized the LFO as well as the new labour laws. He demanded withdrawal of the both laws.
PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah Khan said his party fully supported the PPP’s point of view.
He said the exiled leaders would come back to lead the country.
MMA’s Liaquat Baloch said dictatorship would certainly come to an end.
He said protest against the LFO would continue.
