SIALKOT, May 25: The teenaged son of a landlord was abducted by five men from Kotli Noushera village (Satrah) of Daska tehsil, police said on Sunday.
Chaudhry Irfan Ahmad told Satrah police that his son Shahid Irfan (15) was taken away at gunpoint by Abdul Rahim, Shahid, Iqbal, Arif and Noor Muhammad.
The accused had allegedly abducted the younger sister of Shahid Irfan sometime ago.
DACOITY: : A trader and his wife fell unconscious when dacoits thrashed them on offering resistance in Jaamkey Cheema village (Motra) of Daska tehsil on Saturday night.
Three unidentified armed men stormed into the house of Naveed Malik and held up the family. The dacoits threw the minor son of Naveed in the courtyard of the house from the roof top when the couple offered resistance. Later, the dacoits thrashed the couple as a result both fell unconscious.
The dacoits fled away with gold ornaments, cash and other valuables worth over Rs40,000.
In Mianwali Bangla village (Satrah), dacoits took away motorcycle and cash from Muhammad Anwar. In Shakargarh, three dacoits snatched gold and cash worth Rs37,000 from the mother of Prof Maqbool Ahmad of the Government Commercial College.
SUICIDE: : Three people committed suicide in Daska tehsil over domestic disputes during the last 24 hours.
Police said Zeeshan of Daska city, Naveed of Marana village (Satrah) and Bashiran of Jhutti village (Satrah) committed suicide allegedly by taking poison.
