NAWABSHAH, May 25: A child was killed and eight other persons were injured in a road accident on the National Highway near Shahpur Jehanian on Saturday.
Hamida, 5, died on the spot while Ms Guddi, Ms Rehmat Pathani, Ms Wakila, Ms Husna, Abdul Hakim, Ali Bukhsh and Abdul Fateh Dahri received injuries when the rickshaw they were travelling in was hit by a trailer (SSE-1556) on the National Highway near Shahpur Jehanian.
The injured were taken to a local hospital. Police had arrested trailer driver Shahid Naeem and registered a case.
