IT seems like the Sindh and federal governments are least concerned about the woes of Karachiites. Traffic is in a mess, nobody is safe from muggers, kidnappers, extortionists and target killers.

However, life is all safe and comfy for these lawmakers who have dozens of guards to protect them and make way for their vehicles in traffic jams. It is the common citizen who suffers.

It is about time the people of Karachi stood up against this government and as a first step collectively stop paying all taxes till they provide us with the facilities we deserve as taxpayers. Once the pressure develops, they will have to sit down and think seriously on this important issue.
