PESHAWAR, May 25: The Pakistan Electronic and Media Regulatory Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the journalism department of Peshawar University for the latter to conduct research and promote projects and programmes of Pemra.

The MoU was signed between Syed Shah Jehan, chairman of the journalism department and Yousaf Aziz, general manager cable TV, at a ceremony held at the university the other day. The Peshawar University is the first university of the country selected by Pemra to conduct research on its projects. Vice-Chancellor Peshawar University Dr Zulfiqar Hussain Gillani and Chairman Pemra Mian Muhammad Javed were also present.—APP
