ISLAMABAD, May 23: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to bring out a torch-bearing procession on May 28 (Yom-i-Takbeer) to mark the anniversary of nuclear tests conducted by Pakistan.

A meeting of the PML-N committee was held here on Thursday to finalize programmes for Yom-i-Takbeer. The meeting was presided over by former minister Syed Zafar Ali Shah and attended by local leaders.

Siddiqul Farooq, the party’s information secretary, told Dawn that the torch-bearing rally would start from Shamsabad and culminate at the replica of Chaghi mountain at Faizabad. At this point, the participants of the rally would offer special prayers, he added.
