SHIKARPUR, Dec 11: NPP Sindh president Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Jatoi while supporting the new local government system, has said that due to some complications in devolution plan, the elected representatives were facing some troubles and difficulties. He advised the district, taluka and union council Nazims to realize their national responsibilities first and do their utmost to solve the local problems of the people of the areas with sincerity without awaiting for receiving more powers.

While talking to newsmen on the occasion of Iftar party hosted by him in the honour of newsmen here on Tuesday, he said that he wanted to serve the people of the district at his own level besides extending his cooperation to the elected representatives at every stage for well being of the masses.

Replying to a question Dr Jatoi said that his party not decided to join any of the alliance including the Sindh Democratic Alliance.

He demanded of Nadra authorities to extend the date for issuance of computerised national identity cards fixed as December 31, 2001. He also demanded the issuance of national identity cards in Sindhi language for the people of Sindh.

He also expressed his concern over the raid on Shikarpur Gymkhana by the police and demanded inquiry into this matter.

KILLED: Rajab Ali Pahore was gunned down by four accused identified as Ghulam Nabi, Abdul Rauf, Amin and Ali Abbas Pahore in village Eid Muhammad Pahore on Monday on an old enmity. Khanpur police have registered a case.
