Angelina Jolie to direct film based on World War II Olympian

She is just not a pretty face with luscious lips. Angelina Jolie is also a confident enough woman to go behind the camera and call the shots.

She did that in 2011 with In the Land of Blood and Honey, but this time round she’s taken up a bigger challenge. Angelina J is directing a film titled 'Unbroken'.

It tells the story of Olympian Louis Zamperini who, during World War II, remained aboard a raft after his plane crashed, was captured by Japanese soldiers and taken into custody.

Apparently Angelina J has met Mr Zamperini on a few occasions and calls him her hero.

Hero? What about Brad Pitt?
