BAHAWALPUR Oct 2: Three people allegedly shot dead their two opponents in Uch Sharif on Monday.
Bashir and his two accomplices killed Ghulam Yasin and Abdul Hamid who were riding a motorcycle.
The motive behind the murder is said to be an old enmity.
ARAB PRINCES: The Cholistan desert will be completely sealed ahead of the visits of princes of the Gulf counties, it is learnt.
The princes visit Cholistan in winter for hunting. Federal and provincial governments also facilitate their visit. In this connection, the officials establish their camps to prevent the illegal hunting of rare species of birds and animals. At present, a number of poachers are making plans to come in the desert to shoot the birds which mostly come to Cholistan from Russia, Siberia and other cold regions.
BUDGET: The budget of Bahawalpur district government will be presented on Oct 20.
This was stated by district Nazim Tariq Cheema in a radio interview.
More funds would be earmarked for the development schemes. Top priority would be to the supply of drinking water to Cholistan, Mr Cheema added.
He said a special committee has been formed which would give its recommendations for the welfare of women.
