2 FC men, driver kidnapped

SUKKUR, May 21: A gang of armed men kidnapped two Frontier Constabulary personnel — Mir Baz Khan and Shah Nawaz — and a trailer driver, Sultan, from a section of the Kashmore-Sui road on Wednesday and fled towards Balochistan.

A trailer loaded with cement was headed towards Sui from Kashmore. Near Dera Mor, two Frontier Constabulary personnel boarded the trailer.

When the trailer reached Kukkur Mori, eight armed men, who were on three motorcycles, intercepted it and overpowered both the Frontier Constabulary personnel and the trailer driver.

They seized the Frontier Constabulary’s weapons and fled towards Balochistan in the trailer (K-7317) with their hostages.

The Shah Wali Police registered a case against the unknown kidnappers.

Later, police sources claimed that the trailer was recovered from Balochistan.

TWO SHOT DEAD: Two men, Manzoor Ahmed Sehto and Rahib Sehto, were shot dead by four unidentified armed men at the Ghotki Bus Stand on Wednesday.

No FIR had been registered till the filing of this report.

ROTATION: The executive engineer, Irrigation, Rohri, Moro division, has announced a rotation schedule for various channels of the Mehrabpur branch, Sehra branch and Dad branch.

The channels will be opened on May 27 and closed on June 4, he said.
