KARACHI, May 5: Ruqaiya Habib of Karachi Golf Club (KGC) shot nine over par 45 to win the gross event of the Sindh Golf Association (SGA) ladies golf tournament played over nine holes at the Defence Authority Country and Golf Club here on Saturday.

South Korea’s Park Young Hee, also of the KRC, finished runner-up a stroke behind with 46 gross. The second runner-up position went to KGC Lady Captain Durdana Soomro who carded 51 gross.

Meanwhile, upcoming Hinako Nakayama, representing KGC, claimed the net title with a score of 38.

She was closely followed by Nida Haq of the DHA, who carded 39. The second runner-up position went to Humera Khalid of the Islamabad Golf Club, who scored 40.

The longest drive award was annexed by Park Young Hee with a drive of 173 yards while Nida Haq bagged the closest to the pin prize with 19’2”.

Mrs Abdul Qayyum, who graced the closing ceremony, gave away the prizes.

Results: Winner Gross: Ruqaiya Habib (KGC) 45.

Runner-up: Park Young Hee (KGC) 46. Second runner-up: Durdana Soomro (KGC) 51.

Winner Net: Hinako Nakayama (KGC) 38.

Runner-up: Nida Haq (DHA) 39.

Second runner-up: Humera Khalid (Islamabad Golf Club) 40.

Longest Drive: Park Young Hee (KGC) 173 yards.

Closest to the pin: Nida Haq (DHA) 19’2”.
