KARACHI, May 19: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has demanded of the Sindh government to immediately approve the payment of honoraria for union Nazims for which City government has allocated the funds in its budget.

In a statement on Monday, he pointed out that keeping in view the economic conditions of the union Nazims, the non-payment of honoraria to them would be unjust.

The City Nazim said that in this regard he had written a number of letters to the Sindh governor and secretary, local government, but no decision had been taken yet, which, he said was regrettable.

He said that financially weak Nazims were solving the problems of the people with dedication and to deprive them of their due right would be unfair.—APP
