Passenger bus overturns near Dadu; 12 killed

ISLAMABAD: At least 12 passengers were killed and over 35 injured when a bus overturned near Dadu on Monday morning. The dead also included women and children.

According to a media reports, the passenger bus was heading to Karachi from Larkana when it overturned in Dadu near Khudabad Turn on Indus Highway, leaving six dead on the spot.

The police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to Civil Hospital Dadu.

Later on, six more persons succumbed to injuries in the hospital and death toll mounted to 12.

The dead included five men, three women and four children, informed rescue sources.

Many injured were stated by hospital officials to be in a serious condition.
