MIRPURKHAS: Allowance demanded

MIRPURKHAS, May 17: A large number of high school teachers observed a token hunger strike outside the press club here on Friday to protest against delay in payment of training allowance to 300 teachers.

The district president, Government Secondary Teachers’ Association, Iqbal Panhwar, told journalists that donors had provided training allowance amount to the authorities concerned but the teachers had not yet been paid the allowance.

He demanded of the government to ensure early payment of training allowance to the teachers.
