Yousuf and Khurram join KPT

KARACHI, May 16: Former World Amateur snooker champion Muhammad Yousuf and Pakistan number one Khurram Agha has joined Karachi Port Trust (KPT) on contractual basis.

A spokesman of Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) said on Friday the initially one year contract was offered to them. Both will be getting Rs 6000 monthly as remuneration.

Besides hiring the services of country’s top two cueists Khurram and Yousuf, KPT also inducted late Younus Amir Bakhsh’s son Muhammad Waqas in their fold.

Country’s leading international snooker and billiards player Younus Amir Bakhsh served KPT for many years. Younus died after a short illness nearly four month ago.

KPT had a long tradition of hiring snooker player and Younus’ elder brother and Pakistan’s snooker and billiards legend Latif Amir Bakhsh was also represented KPT from early eighties.

After Latif’s death in 1986, his son Atiq Latif Bakhsh now ranked sixth in Pakistan was employed in KPT.—APP
