President gives assent to finance bill

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday accorded assent to the Finance Bill 2013-14 to give effect to the financial proposals of the federal government.

The president signed the bill on the advice of the prime minister for the financial year beginning on July 1 and to amend certain laws.

The finance bill was passed by the National Assembly on Thursday.—APP
