Shoaib benefit match

LAHORE,May 14: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Wednesday a one-day international against South Africa at Karachi in September this year will be the benefit match of former Test opener Shoaib Muhammad, son of Hanif Mohammad

A spokesman of the PCB said here, the entire proceeds of the tie will go to former cricketer who is now a selector.

Shoaib represented Pakistan in Test and one-day cricket from 1983-96. In 45 Tests he scored 2705 runs and from 63 one-day matches he amassed 1269 runs.

South Africa is scheduled to play three-one-day internationals at different centres but the PCB has not yet announc-ed the final tour programme.—APP
