LAHORE, June 15: Lahore Development Authority officials became panicky after a fire erupted in an air-conditioner installed at the main server room at the LDA Johar Town Complex on Saturday.

Senior LDA officials and lower staff rushed to the server room after someone reported them about fire.

LDA officials claimed to have extinguished the fire on their own within 10 minutes before the arrival of rescue teams.

“All equipment installed at the server room remained safe. The fire didn’t damage the record saved both in soft as well as hard copies,” an LDA spokesman said. He rejected the media reports that mentioned loss of record because of the fire.

He said the fire broke out in the air conditioner due to some technical fault which was immediately controlled. — Staff Reporter
