PM, Chaudhry Nisar discuss interior ministry’s agenda, priorities

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House on Saturday.

During the meeting, the two discussed the agenda and priorities of the interior ministry under the present government.

The federal minister said the ministry would continue to cooperate with all provincial governments and provide them all possible assistance in order to maintain law and order.

Nisar said officers of proven integrity and competence would be appointed in the interior ministry, adding that they would be expected to uphold merit and continue to deliver.

He informed Prime Minister Sharif that a detailed presentation would be made to him on the interior ministry shortly to seek his guidance.

The prime minister expressed the hope that effective measures would be taken by the interior ministry in order to fulfill public expectations.
