Streak injury not serious

WORCESTER (England), May 11: Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak is receiving treatment for a back spasm but should be fit for the first test against England, the tourists said on Sunday.

The all-rounder pulled out of the warm-up game against Worcestershire on Friday after bowling just two overs. The 29-year-old Streak did not bat on Saturday and did not return to the field when the English county began their second innings on Sunday. “It’s not a significant concern at this stage,” said a spokesman for the Zimbabwe team.

“He is receiving treatment and it needs two or three days for it to loosen up. There is no point in him playing any further part in this game.”

Meanwhile, Worcestershire were all out for 247 in their second innings, setting Zimbabwe for victory 175, at the close on the third day of the four-day tour match at New Road.
