PESHAWAR, May 11: The Joint Action Committee of the Peshawar University Teachers Association (Puta) will hold a protest demonstration in front of Governor’s House in favour of its demands on Monday.

The PUTA in a statement here on Sunday, held the NWFP governor responsible for introducing the institution-based practice (IBP) at public hospitals, model university ordinance, appointments of employees on contract system and self-financing at universities.

The Puta also expressed concern over delay in the recognition of Gomal and Saidu medical colleges by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, which was a source of concern for the students and their parents.

The Puta resolved to continue its struggle till the acceptance of its above demands and urged all the affiliated associations to participate in the protest demonstration on Monday.
