ISLAMABAD, May 25: The leadership of Islamabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has demanded a representative seat in the board of the Islamabad Club.

“ICCI is playing a key role in improving the image of Islamabad by involving many areas of life other than trade and economic activities,” Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI said while talking to Arif Mahmud Khan, Secretary Islamabad Club, who had visited the chamber on Saturday.

Members of ICCI lauded the Islamabad Club and termed it a prestigious platform that provided all necessary facilities, including food and entertainment.

Mr Mahmud was told that various organisations had given ICCI representation in their board of management because the business community was vital and played a positive role in making the organisations more professional.

Mr Bakhtawari said representation of ICCI on the Board of Islamabad Club would contribute in the uplift of the club’s image. He also appreciated the efforts for providing quality services and facilities to its members.

Mr Mahmud assured he would convey the demands of the Islamabad Chamber to the administrators of the Islamabad Club. He said the management was grateful to the private sector and other members cooperating in all accounts.
