QUETTA, May 24: Five people were killed in incidents of firing and grenade attack and two bullet-riddled bodies were found in various parts of Balochistan on Friday.

Police said unidentified people riding a motorcycle hurled a hand-grenade in a CD shop in the Sariab road area and sped away. The grenade exploded inside the shop, injuring seriously its owner Abdul Salam. He was taken to civil hospital, but he died after a few while. In Basima area of remote Washuk district three people were gunned down.

Levies sources said some armed men barged into the house of one Zafar in village Siyahozai on the outskirts of Basima town and opened indiscriminate fire.

The deceased were identified as Hidayatullah Essazai, Abdul Razaq and Dr Liaquat Ali.

In another incident of firing, a man was shot dead in the coastal town of Pasni.

Levies sources said Ismail was going home when armed men on motorcycle opened fire on him. He died on the spot.

Also in Pasni, a man was injured when armed men opened fire on him. He was identified as Wazir.

The bullet-riddled body of a security man was found in Marget area of Mach tehsil.

Levies sources said the deceased was a soldier of Sibi scout, a wing of Frontier Corps.

A paper found in his pocket mentioned his name as Maluk.

Official sources said he was missing for many days.

Another bullet-riddled body was found in Gomazai area of Kech district.

The deceased was identified as Omer Jan, a resident of Gomazai area of Tump. He was abducted a few months ago from the airport road in Turbat.

Two personnel of Frontier Corps were injured when a bomb placed on the road hit their vehicle in Gomazai area of Tump.

The injured were taken to district hospital Turbat.
