Nawaz meets Olson in Raiwind

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif met US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson and Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Sharat Sabharwal in Raiwind on Friday, DawnNews reported.

During the meeting, Olson said the US wanted to strengthen its ties with Pakistan and was willing to help Pakistan overcome the energy crisis. Various other issues were also discussed in the meeting.

Sabharwal and German Ambassador to Pakistan Cyrill Jean Nunn also met with Sharif separately and discussed issues of mutual interests.

The meetings come after Sharif’s party secured the majority of National Assembly seats in the May 11 general elections.

In the wake of the party’s success, Sharif is expected to take oath as the country’s prime minister in the near future.

We have been fooled enough by these western and european countries regarding our energy crisi. Had they been really sincere friends, they would have helped us during the 8 years of musharaf and 5 years of Zardari to keep us out of the current situation. All our 90% industry packed and installed in bangladesh and burma, thanks to the energy crisis this nation is sufferring. I hope Nawaz sharif would not be fool enough to do the blunder again and keep waiting for the 7th fleet to arrive and help us. Take the Chinese offer and finish the JOB once and for all.

We should have just one point agenda with the Americans,if they really want to help us if they are really our friends and allies.Then give us a civilian nuclear power plant to resolve our energy crises once and for all, just like the one they have given India other then that all would be lollypops.
