LAHORE, May 20: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has vacated the stay and allowed the ad hoc regional committees of Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to work till the fresh elections of regional cricket associations.

The LHC had issued the stay order on Friday against the ad hoc imposed on the three regional bodies by the PCB.

But on Monday, in its final decision, the LHC allowed the PCB to continue with the ad hoc bodies to hold the fresh elections in three regional bodies.

In its response to the LHC, the PCB counsel said that the term of office-bearers of regional cricket associations of Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot had expired but even now they are holding the offices.

He submitted that the PCB had received many complains from the regions that these office-bearers would not allow the PCB to conduct fresh elections.
