RAWALPINDI, May 9: A teenage boy and a girl who suffered burns in separate incidents were shifted to the Rawalpindi General Hospital, hospital authorities said on Friday.

In the first incident, Sadia Parveen, a resident of Kalar Saidan, was injured while trying to burn a heap of garbage in her house.

In her statement, she said her clothes caught fire. On hearing her screams, neighbours rushed to the scene and shifted her to the hospital, Nazakat, victim’s brother, said.

He said his sister, a 6th class students, was alone at home when the incident happened. According to doctors, Sadia was 25 per cent burnt.

In the second incident, Amjad Hussain, 15, was burnt while setting some audio cassettes on fire, Mohammad Hussain, the victim’s father, told this reporter.

The victim was shifted to the hospital with 15 per cent burns.

Meanwhile, two vehicles were stolen from Islamabad on Thursday, police said.

Mohammad Rafiq’s Suzuki Fx car (H-5490) was stolen from sector I-8/1, while Qasir Nawaz’s motorcycle (RIX-8860) was stolen from I/10 sector, the police said.
