QUETTA, May 19: MPA-elect Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, chief of the Balochistan chapter of the PML-N, has said he cannot invite the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) to join the proposed provincial coalition government without the consent of allied parties.

He said the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and the National Party (NP), which had agreed to form a government with the PML-N, had reservations against the induction of the JUI-F in the proposed coalition.

Speaking at a press conference, he claimed that PkMAP Secretary General Akram Shah and NP President Dr Abdul Malik Baloch had told him that their parties were ready to support a PML-N candidate for the post of the chief minister.

Mr Zehri said that in the presence of the two parties representing Baloch and Pakhtun nationalists he did not feel that the proposed coalition had any flaws or weaknesses.

He said the three-party alliance would form a strong government in Balochistan which would give priority to restoration of peace in the province.

“The PkMAP and NP are not supporting PML-N for the sake of ministries but for restoring peace in Balochistan,” he remarked.

The PML-N has invited the JUI-F to join its incoming government at the centre but the JUI-F leadership also wants a share in the provincial coalition government.
