ISLAMABAD, May 19: A 37-year-old man was killed allegedly by his wife and daughter in Bhara Kahu on Sunday.

Police said the deceased was suspicious of the activities of her daughter and wife and often stopped them from going out of the house.

The two suspects have been arrested after a murder case was registered against them.

According to the police, Javed Khan, a native of Upper Dir, lived in Mera Begwal along with his family and worked as a watchman at a farmhouse.

Usman Khan, the brother of the deceased, told the police that Javed was killed by his wife and daughter.

The daughter of the deceased in her statement recorded with the police said her father was suspicious of their character and on many occasions stopped them from going out of the house.

On Sunday, she added, when they came back from a market, he started shouting at them due to which they killed him with an axe.

She denied the allegation that she was involved in any immoral activity.

However, Arshad Ali, the investigation officer of the case, told Dawn that he had recorded the statements of the neighbours who also alleged that both the mother and daughter were involved in immoral activities due to which the family members frequently quarreled with each other.

The two suspects were shifted to the women police station while the body of the deceased was handed over to his brother after an autopsy.
