UMERKOT, May 19: Pakistan Peoples Party minority leader Somoo Malhi has said that his son, Ramesh aka Pappu, has been abducted in an area near Sanghar.

Mr Malhi and his family said that Pappu left Umerkot for Sanghar in a taxi driven by Jeso Bajeer in the morning and remained in contact with them until it cross Kandiari to enter Sanghar. However, they said, since then Pappu’s mobile phone had been off and the family, as well as the police, could not find a clue to his whereabouts till late in the evening.

Mr Malhi apprehended that his son and the taxi driver had been abducted but he had not yet received any ransom call.

PPP leaders Nawab Yousuf Talpur, Syed Ali Mardan Shah and others were in contact with Mirpurkhas DIG Muneer Ahmed Shaikh, who assured them that the missing man would be recovered soon.
