ISLAMABAD, May 8: The Alliance for Restoration of Democracy will hold a meeting on Friday to discuss the peace process between Pakistan and India and the ongoing government-opposition talks on Legal Framework Order.

ARD Chief Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan will preside over the meeting at the PML-N House, the deputy information secretary of the alliance, Munir Ahmed Khan, told Dawn.

He said PPP MNA Chaudhry Aitezaz Ahsan, Senator Latif Khoso and PML-N’s Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who are representing the opposition side in the ongoing consultations with the government, would brief the ARD leadership about the status of the talks.

He said the meeting would also discuss Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali’s offer to his Indian counterpart Atal Behari Vajpayee for a peace dialogue.

A press briefing will be held at 7 pm, he said.
