HYDERABAD, May 8: The Sindh High Court on Wednesday directed the additional advocate-general, Sindh, to look into the matter of alleged interference of the district administration in collection of fees by the Hyderabad market committee.

The market committee, through a constitutional petition, had prayed the court to restrain the taluka Nazim, Latifabad, from interfering in this regard.

The petitioner prayed the court to declare that it was entitled to recover market fee and that interference on part of the respondent taluka Nazim in this regard were illegal, mala fide and without lawful authority.

The petitioner had also called for restraining the respondent from interfering in the recovery process being made by the petitioner within the notified area of Hyderabad, including the fruit and vegetable market on Hali Road or taking any other adverse steps.

The court fixed the matter for hearing on May 21.
