BADIN, May 7: The president of the Pakistan People’s Party, Shaheed Fazil Rahu taluka, was sent to the Nara Prison after the court of the additional sessions judge, Badin, cancelled his bail.

The PPP leader, Abdul Ghafoor Memon, had produced a medical certificate in the court which was proved fake on verification.

Abdul Ghafoor is one of the 15 accused, nominated in the case of an attack on the caravan of then Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif while he was on the way to attend the death anniversary of Mohammad Fazil Rahu in Rahuki.

All the accused, including former MNA Dr Mirza Zulfiqar Ali and Badin PPP vice-president Nadir Ali Khwaja, were on bail, except for two who were absconders.
