HYDERABAD: Prisoner hurt

HYDERABAD, May 6: An under-trial prisoner on Sunday night suffered injuries to his body in mysterious circumstances at the Hyderabad Central Jail.

The jail administration, however, lodged a case against the prisoner, Qasim Shah, under section 325, Qisas and Diyat Ordinance, at the Baldia police station.

The assistant jail superintendent called the Baldia police after he was informed about the incident by a jail police official.

The injured prisoner was taken to the civil hospital where he is lying unconscious.—Correspondent
