ISLAMABAD, May 5: A meeting of the constitutional committee of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) on Legal Framework Order will be held here on Tuesday.

Former law minister and legal expert Khalid Anwer will brief the committee members on legal and constitutional aspects of the LFO and its implications on the parliamentary system, said Siddiqul Farooq, the PML-N information secretary.

The meeting, which will be held at 3pm, will also review the recommendations, prepared by the party’s technical committee after a six-hour long meeting on Sunday.

A meeting of the senior PML-N members was also held here on Monday to brief the acting president and parliamentary party leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on the party’s position on the Kashmir issue and ongoing efforts for Pakistan-India talks.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif also reportedly talked to the participants from Jeddah and gave a go-ahead signal to Javed Hashmi to represent the party in a conference, called by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to take all political parties into confidence regarding the ongoing peace process between Pakistan and India.
