JHANG, Dec 9: City police have yet to find any clue to the accomplice of a terrorist, who deprived a man of his motorcycle near the Government Girls Degree College, on Friday.

Kashif alias Kashi (Bara Usman) was later arrested by Saddar police from Jhang Muddoki Road and the motorcycle was recovered. His accomplice had disappeared in the thickly populated areas of the city.

Kashif, a resident of Gujranwala, carried Rs0.5 million headmoney. He reportedly told police that he was a member of a gang of terrorists. He said that he had been living in a rented house in Satellite Town with his accomplice after returning from Afghanistan recently.

He also said that they were planning to commit acts of terrorism and were ‘collecting’ motorcycles for the purpose.

A senior police officer, who wished to remain anonymous, told Dawn that the wanted man is a terrorist and also carried huge headmoney.

Identifying the absconding terrorist as Dilawar, the source said that he was also wanted by the police in connection with the murder case of former president of the Jhang District Bar Association, Mir Ansarul Hassan, and his son a couple of years ago in the Satellite Town.

When contacted, senior police officials said they have not identified the terrorist. However, they were optimistic that he would be arrested soon.
