CHAKWAL, April 20: As many as 68 contenders are in the field of six constituencies of Chakwal district.

Initially, 148 aspirants submitted their nominations for the elections but according to the final list of candidates only 68 have been left. The other 80 candidates have withdrawn from contesting elections.

NA 60: Ten candidates are set to contest including Major (retired) Tahir Iqbal (PML-N), Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz (PTI), Raja Muhammad Sanaul Haq (PPPP), Pir Abdul Shakoor Naqashbandi (TTP of Dr Qadeer), Hafiz Abdul Qadeer (JUI-F).

PP 20:  Twelve candidates will contest for PP 20 including Chaudhry Ali Nasir Bhatti (PTI), Chaudhry Liaquat Ali Khan (PML-N), Shahjahan Sarfraz Raja (PPPP).

PP 21: In this constituency seven contenders including Tanvir Aslam Malik (PML-N), Pir Shaukat Hussain Karooli (PTI), Raja Asad Raza Janjua Advocate (PPP) are in the field.

NA 61: Among the 13 contenders Chaudhry Pervez Elahi (PML-Q), Sardar Mumtaz Khan Tamman (PML-N), Sardar Mansoor Hayat Tamman (PTI), are main contenders.

PP 22: In this constituency, Sardar Ghulam Abbas, (Independent) may give tough time to Pir Nisar Qasim (PTI) and Sardar Zulifqar Dullah (PML-N).

PP 23:  Twelve contenders including Malik Zahoor Anwar Awan (PML-N), Col (retired) Sultan Surakhru (PTI) and Sardar Amjad Iliyas (PML-Q),  are contesting in this field.
