KARACHI: The celebrity pair of Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan face an uphill task when Pakistan squares off against New Zealand in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania zone group two second round rubber at Pun Hlaing Golf and Country Club, Yangon, Myanmar, on Friday.

This is Pakistan’s home tie which is being played on a neutral venue on grass court after the International Tennis Federation (ITF) acceded to Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) request.According to draws, country’s top player Aqeel will be up against Artem Sitak in the first singles while Aisam takes on Denial King-Turner in the second on the opening day.

The winner of this tie will qualify for the third round slated in September.—Sports Correspondent
