ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Friday that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)'s decision would definitely reduce the election expenses, DawnNews reported.

Kaira further said that all institutions in the country, including the armed forces, want free and fair elections and that the army had already assured that it was a part of the government and that it will not participate in the political process.

The federal information minister added that the election expenses need to be reduced but not to the extent where people begin violating the law.
