RAWALPINDI, Feb 11: A special bench of Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench has started hearing commercial and tax-related cases.

The special tax division bench, comprising Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan, on Monday decided 32 tax and commercial matters.

It will take up 203 cases pertaining to income tax, wealth tax, sales tax and customs matters during the next two weeks.

Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Umar Ata Bandial had constituted the special bench for speedy disposal of commercial and tax-related matters in the Rawalpindi division. The bench will complete its proceedings by the end of February.
