RAWALPINDI, Feb 5: Two people were killed when the roof of a poultry farm caved in during the heavy rains at Kangarh in the limits of Kahuta police on Tuesday.

Mohammad Waheed, 33, the owner, along with his friend Mahfooz Shafi was sleeping in the poultry farm when its roof caved in early Tuesday.

People living in the vicinity recovered the two men from the debris after an hour and shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital where doctors declared them dead.

“The police visited the place and found that the roof had caved in due to heavy rains,” said Safeer Ahmed, the investigating officer of the police.

He said there was no criminal activity. “We registered the case as a natural incident and handed over the bodies to the legal heirs of the victims,” he said.
