Bid to smuggle charas foiled

TAXILA, Jan 3: Taxila Police on Tuesday foiled a bid to smuggle five kilogram charas from Peshawar to Punjab via GT road and arrested a smuggler.

While talking to newsmen here, Sub Divisional Police Officer Taxila/ Wah circle DSP Raja Taifour Akhter said that a police party intercepted a car and recovered the consignment.

The DSP further said that police had also succeeded in resolving two murder cases and arrested the accused and recovered murder weapons. —Correspondent
