Actress Sridevi, who played a housewife in her comeback film English Vinglish this year, says she has been approached by many women telling her that the film changed their lives.

"A lot of people and especially ladies approach me. Wherever I go, people even tell me I have changed their lives," the 49-year-old said at a press conference held to announce the world television premiere of the film. According to a report in Times of India.

Sridevi further said that the film has even had an effect on children.

"A lot of kids, Jhanvi's (Sridevi's daughter) friends said sorry to their parents after watching the film, for being mean to them," she said.

Directed by Gauri Shinde, English Vinglish tells the story of a housewife, who learns English to change her family's outlook towards her.
