ISLAMABAD, Dec 24: Wapda and Higher Education Commission ruled the first day proceedings of the rowing event of the 32nd National Games at the Rawal Dam on Monday.

Eight units of Pakistan Rowing Federation are participating in the rowing event.

The athletes tested their mettle in single scull, double scull and open and light weight cox-less’ four events.

An official of the PRF told Dawn that seven medals in water events and eight medals in indoor event will be decided in the five-day event.

According to details shared with Dawn, Wapda grabbed the top position in single scull events while HEC ended on better note against their competitors in light weight double scull events.

The semi-final (Round-II) races will be held on Tuesday and finals will be played on Wednesday.
