RAWALPINDI, Dec 21: A mother of four was set on fire by her suitor in Chaklala on Thursday night and later shifted her to hospital with 65 per cent burns, family of the victim and police said.

The woman in her early 30s was at her home when the accused came and started convincing her to get divorce from her husband who was settled in Dubai and marry him, but she refused.

This infuriated the accused who doused her with kerosene and showed a match stick to her.

The brother of the burn victim in his complaint said the accused was not their relative.

According to police, the accused used to talk to the woman on her cell phone. Later, he disappeared from the hospital.

According to doctors, though the woman had more than 65 per cent burns, she was out of danger.
