EVERY year the US Educational Foundation in Pakistan announces scholarship for the Global Undergraduate Exchange Programme for students in Pakistan.

The aim of this scholarship is to create mutual understanding between the people of Pakistan and US through cultural exchanges.

Last year, an overwhelming number of students applied for this scholarship and about 200 students made the final cut.

Among these students, almost 100 went to the US to undertake their one-semester studies over there and 100 more are going for spring 2013.

Unfortunately, there is a problem related to some of these selected students which is quite discouraging for them as their host university does not accept their credit hours which are taught in the US.

It is not fair, all the universities and colleges must look into this issue and help these students and encourage them to apply for this programme and represent their culture, people and the country.
