Heavyweight designers Rizwan Beyg, Shamaeel Ansari and Sadaf Malaterre along with Sabira Tapal, Ayeshah Alam and Sarah Najeeb come together in this week’s fashion feature to display their chic take on classic eastern as well as fusion wear in a hybrid of cuts and colours.

The designers are available at the multibrand store Showtopper that recently opened its doors and is owned and operated by socialite, fashionista and now designer Sabira Tapal.

The model of choice for this shoot was newcomer Sana Sarfaraz who has the oomph to carry off the designers’ vision while veteran stylist Nina Lotia delivers her expertise in make-up and hair, the latter remaining casually tied or loosely curled to compliment the overall feel and mood of the outfits. It sums up a light, breezy yet classy look that is popular this summer and remains in vogue even as the ongoing season gives way to early autumn in October.

The choice of fabric remains crinkle chiffon, beautifully cascading georgettes along with fine silk embroidery in vibrant colours, fetching add-ons and self-worked fine fabric in yummy, fetching candy colours as well as pastels. The silhouette remains classic and popular, and bears the trademark of each designer’s fine sensibility and intricate philosophy. — Tabish Raza
