A decision on Afridi's inclusion is likely to be made right before the toss.

The latest news from Sharjah suggests that Shahid Afridi will play in the third ODI against Australia.

Afridi was replaced by Abdur Rehman in the 2nd ODI after a suffering a back injury but an average game from Rehman means captain Misbah-ul-Haq will have no hesitation in picking the all-rounder who has reportedly recovered.

Can a half-fit Afridi be risked for today's crucial encounter? Should Pakistan go in with the same lineup as the second ODI? Should Misbah gamble with Anwar Ali in place of the out-of-form Sohail Tanvir?

Afridi is a gamble regardless of whether he is fit or not! As far as Sohail Tanvir is concerned ...he is good for 4 overs and should therefore be selected for T20s only....If he is going to be part of the ODIs then a clear role should be defined for him....which logically should be that of a 'strangler'...Anwar Ali, ideally should played as early as the 2nd ODI but bringing him in may not be a great move....it'll take a brave captain to change the side from the 2nd ODI...lets hope Misbah is that man

I THINK AFRIDI SHOULD BE GIVEN REST AT THE THIRD T-20 MATCH AS HE DOES NOT SEEM FIT FOR THE MATCH. SIMILARLY, PAKISTAN HAS ALREADY WON THE SERIES. THEREFORE NO NEED TO TAKE RISK BEFORE THE T-20 WORLD CUP. TABINDA KHAN..... LEAVE AND FORGET MISBAH FOR THE T-20 MATCHES AS A CAPTAIN OR AS A TEAM PLAYER. HE IS WELL FIT FOR THE ODI AND TEST MATCHES. PAKISTAN SHOULD SEE FOR NEW BLOOD AND YOUNG TALENT WHICH COULD CATER LONG SERVICE FOR PAKISTAN TEAM.
