SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 23: Governor Sardar Latif Khosa said on Thursday that nobody could affect Pakistan People’s Party’s popularity because the party had roots in the masses.

Addressing a public meeting in Gloria Colony, he said the democratic system in the country would never derail because the PPP was ready to render every sacrifice for it.

On this occasion, PML-N minority wing president Emanuel Khurram Khokhar, general secretary Javed Masih, Riaz Masih and other people of their community joined the PPP.

Khosa said the PPP had respect for the judiciary, but the parliament being the lawmaking institution had supremacy over all other institutions.
