18 kg opium seized

ISLAMABAD, Aug 12: Sabzi Mandi police have arrested two drug pushers and recovered 18-kg opium from them, a police spokesman said.

On a tip off, SP Industrial Area Ishaq Warraich constituted special team to conduct search of vehicles under supervision of ASP Yasir Afridi.

The police team stopped a truck on IJ Principal road for checking.

On its search, the opium was recovered from it.

Police also arrested Ameer Khan, Haider Zaman, residents of Malakand Agency. During the preliminary interrogation, they confessed to smuggle this huge quantity of opium from Mardan to Punjab. —APP
