A spokesman for the Coroner’s office said Miss Monroe died at her home in Brentwood.

The spokesman said she was found by her housekeeper. Two private doctors were summoned. One of them pronounced her dead, and his colleague, Dr Engleberg, informed the Coroner’s office.

There were no immediate further details.

The 36-year-old blonde curvaceous star was recently dropped from the film “Something’s got to give” because of what the studio called “repeated wilful breaches of contract.”
